Brian Holwerda - Montana, USA
Three-time San Diego Music Award winner Brian Holwerda spent years as the frontman and songwriter for Blackout Party, while also playing sideman to a variety of Americana and country artists in the Southern California and Nashville music scenes. His music has appeared in TV and film including Super Troopers 2.
After years in Nashville, he traded city life for a chance to work and raise his family on a 37,000-acre ranch along Montana’s Blackfoot River. By day, Brian serves as the General Manager of Glamping at Paws Up Montana, a luxury ranch consistently recognized among the best resorts in the world.
He still makes regular trips back to Nashville to write and record with longtime collaborator Ben Simonetti (Zac Brown Band), but most of his songs take shape at home, somewhere between early mornings, quiet landscapes, and a guitar at the kitchen table.
Brian performs throughout Montana and the Pacific Northwest and hosts a weekly bluegrass night at a little mountain gas station casino near the ranch.
